Rose of Athens Theatre is Athens’ first nonprofit 501c3 professional theater, since 2006 leading our region in professional education programming and inspiring theatre.

This is where you will find us! Gorgeous historic Athens theater, Seney Stovall Chapel

Mission Statement Creates vibrant professional theatre that inspires audiences and transforms communities.

Vision Creates live performances that endeavor to speak to the entire community. We strive to both share our diverse voices and exercise our ability to listen, strengthening our community and furthering the communion of all people.

Goals  To create unique and idiosyncratic professional theatre in Athens, Georgia and surrounding communities.  To be a cultural and economic anchor for Athens, Georgia and surrounding communities.  To create outreach programs which support our mission and goals.  To create an academy style program, teaching theatre skills to youth and adults, focusing on teaching the whole person, body and spirit.  To integrate live, current Georgia music and musicians into all productions.  To utilize a lights-on-in-the-audience theatre style.
