CHARLOTTE’S WEB SPINS A TALE OF “TERRIFIC FRIENDSHIP & FUN!
Rose of Athens Theatre is at again! The Athens based theatre is continuing their fourth season with the family classic Charlotte’s Web. The stage version, based on E.B. White’s famous novel, follows the journey of a little pig named Wilbur and his quest for friendship and life. He encounters quite a few characters along the way, including an articulate barn spider named Charlotte & a greedy, scheming rat named Templeton. It is a tale of courage, selflessness, and friendship. Jef Holbrook, guest director and the 2010 Summer Academy Director is excited about the upcoming production, “We have a very talented cast & design team. All of the elements are coming together. We have an extraordinary story to share with the community. Come out, enjoy and support live theatre. You owe it to yourself!”
“Friendship is one of the most satisfying things in the world”, says Wilbur. Experience the colorful charm and delight of Rose of Athens Theatre’s Charlotte’s Web, to be performed for three days only in Athens, at the historic Seney-Stovall Chapel on 201 N. Milledge Ave. Charlotte’s quest to save Wilbur’s life leads all of their friends – animal and human, alike – on a journey of hope, miracles and a trip to the County Fair!
