Thank you all for supporting Rose of Athens Theatre. While we were unable to share the day together, we hope you will join us at our other events for the remainder of the season and consider donating to our theatre education programs. Since we were unable to raise funds today at our fundraiser, an RoA Board Member has graciously offered a matching donation of up to $500.00. If you would like to donate, you may click the donate button in the sidebar. Keep posted for next season’s ‘May the Fourth Be With You’ event on May 4, 2014.

Rose of Athens Theatre is having a ball and we want you to join in the fun! “May The Fourth Be With You” is a Star Wars themed fundraiser set to benefit both educational/school programs of 501c3 nonprofit Rose of Athens Theatre, Inc. Not only will party-goers be treated with delicious food by Zaxby’s, but there will be live entertainment from local kid rock bands and professional bands, jugglers, fire throwers and a fun-for-all lightsaber creation station! Don’t forget to dress to the nines in your best Star Wars garb. Who are you? A Solo or Sith Lord? You never know who will show up!

Rose of Athens Theatre proudly welcomes Director’s Jef Holbrook, Susan Lane, T. Anthony Marotta, Danielle Bailey Miller and Cindy Nason to Season 7: 2012-2013! Click on their name to link to their personal websites.

Jef Holbrook is a returning director and guest artist for Rose of Athens Theatre. He directed Charlotte’s Web in May 2010 and is the current Director of Rose of Athens Theatre Academy. Jef recently finished a guest acting appearance on Lifetime TV’s Drop Dead Diva. Jef will be directing Ramona Quimby this season.

Susan Lane has directed, performed and taught at several theaters, schools and festivals throughout the country. Most notably, she has contributed to the Neil Simon Festival. Susan has also enjoyed success teaching abroad in Rome, Italy. She will be directing To Kill A Mockingbird this season.

T. Anthony Marotta is an accomplished director, stage combat choreographer and performer. One of his areas of specialty is mask-making and puppetry. Anthony has studied and worked abroad in Canada, England, France and Italy. He will be directing Shakespeare on the Lawn: The Tempest this season.

Danielle Bailey Miller is an all around theatre artist, enjoying acting, directing and teaching. She has participated in many theatrical ventures including performances at the South Eastern Theatre Conference in the Fringe Festival and in the 10-Minute Play Festival and she was recently invited to perform in the Georgia Presenters Showcase hosted by the Fox Theatre Institute. Danielle is a returning director, having directed A Christmas Carol: A Yuletide Celebration in December 2011 and is currently the Associate Artistic Director of RoA Theatre. She will be directing A Midsummer Night’s Dream this season.

Cindy Nason is a director, teacher and actress. She has performed from GA to MA and a few other states in between. She was recently seen on the RoA stage as The Abbess in The Comedy of Errors. Cindy is a returning director for RoA Theatre. She directed Huckleberry Finn in October 2011. Cindy will be directing A Christmas Carol: A Yuletide Celebration this season.
