Much Ado About Nothing-2010

Shakespeare’s Work Returns to Ashford Manor for a Second Year

Rose of Athens Theatre delivers a stellar retelling of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Lisa Cesnik Ferguson, resident Artistic Director of Rose of Athens puts on her actor’s beret and navigates the company through the Bard’s fun, and perilously clever language. “Shakespeare’s words can be enchanting, yet bewildering. The players are charged with conveying the hilarious action of this zippy comedy.” Straight from assistant directing Gabriel Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theatre Company in NYC, Director Kimberly Faith Hickman’s fresh and fun approach to this wickedly funny play will have you rolling on the lawn! Much Ado About Nothing follows the love quarrel of the witty Beatrice and clever Benedick, as well as the high jinks of the rest of the townspeople in Messina, Italy. Join Rose of Athens Theatre for an evening of hilarity, mischief and love.
