Lady Susan by Stanley Longman (from Jane Austen)

Directed by Katie Gregg

Can Lady Susan snatch a husband while maintaining a relationship with a married man? UGA Professor Emeritus Stanley Longman foregrounds Austen’s wit and morality in this romantic comedy featuring one of Austen’s most active anti-heroines.

Hoist by Erin Lane

Directed by Caity Johnson

The true heart of America is beating in a basement bar in Chicago. The bartender, Skyler, a recently returned Iraq war veteran, attempts to forget, so she can continue to exist in peace. Unfortunately, the effects of her military experience, and the return of an old flame, complicate her mostly good intentions. Skyler desperately tries to regain control over her life, but, instead, discovers it lifeless at the bottom of a rocks glass.

Initial Condition by Taylor Gruenloh

Directed by Misha Kennedy

The determination to create a miracle turns into a journey into the unknown when Chance, a mathematician, is brought on to help map out cancer in a young woman’s body. His determination to solve the problem of Sarah’s illness through mathematical oncology takes him to places that are unimaginable: professionally, personally, emotionally and spiritually.

Helvetica by Will Coleman

Directed by Adron Farris

Helvetica Burke–adventurer, writer and cynic–has spent her life packaging the real world neatly between the lines of her beloved children’s books, with her trusty stuffed bear Myron by her side. But when the real world threatens to overtake her, she must face the trials of life and death the only way she knows how: through fantasy and adventure. Helvetica, a beautifully lyrical and whimsical play written by Will Coleman and directed by Katie Mack is certain to grab your heart. Winner of SETC’s 2015 Charles M. Getchell New Play Award!
