Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe

Posted on Updated on

Rose of Athens Theatre brings the chilling, classic poetry by Edgar Allan Poe, on tour this fall. The company welcomes Audey Lee to the Director’s chair. She has worked with RoA for six seasons and is no stranger to the stage, having performed in many other RoA productions since 2011. Lee is excited about the upcoming production, “When I first read this adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe by Eric Coble, I was really impressed. Nightfall brings light to the shadows, while drawing out the emotional depth of some of Poe’s greatest works.” Eric Coble’s adaptation of Poe’s work remains true to the spirit of the original text, while providing swift and chilling storytelling. Nightfall showcases The Raven, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Pit & the Pendulum (public shows only) and The Tale-Tell Heart. A perfect Autumn treat, Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe is exciting entertainment any time of the year.

There will be a ONE NIGHT ONLY performance on October 22 at 7PM at Seney Stovall Chapel. Ticket prices for this showing are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students/children. What SPOOKTACULAR SAVINGS! The production is for upper middle school ages and up. In addition to the tour, RoA will present a Poe Pub Crawl on October 25, beginning at 7:00PM. Patrons will haunt four downtown bars, as they watch the show. Poe Pub Crawl performances will take place at Sister Louisa’s, Manhattan Bar, Little Kings, and Max Canada.
